WE CAN HELP
Plantar fasciitis Plantar fasciitis is an inflammation of the plantar fascia (the band of tissue that runs along the bottom of your foot from your heel to your toes).Heel pain is a common result of plantar fasciitis, as irritation turns into inflammation and pain.
There could be a number of reasons for heel pain, so it is important to have the condition diagnosed by a podiatrist, who will be able to determine the underlying condition that is causing the pain in your heel.
We will first try non-surgical treatments methods such as padding and strapping, orthotic devices, night splints (used to keep muscles stretched while you rest), off weightbearing methods (cam walker boots), physical therapy and injection therapy.
The majority of patients, about 90%, will respond to appropriate non-operative treatments over a period of 3-6 months. Surgery is an option for patients with persistent symptoms but is NOT recommended unless a patient has failed a minimum of 6-9 months of appropriate non-operative treatment.
